CRAVENER

     Ancestors from this family settled in the 15 th century in the Irish province of Cork and earned a reputation of noble virtue and high esteem thru hard work and perseverance.

     In the year 1765, Priest and Preacher Irwin Fitzgerald Cravener distinguished himself for being a great asset to his nation and received a family symbol and a great arms document printed on parchment from the Irish administration.

     During the great  religious struggle, I. F. Cravener preached the word of God and the teachings of Christ and by this re-established peace and prudence among the people. Besides, to him it was splendid to convert a great portion of the people to God during the great anti-Christ movement.

     Later, from this family came pioneers that have traveled to England, Scotland, Asia, Australia, Canada, and North America.

Coat Of Arms

     A front, pointed shield with a black shield shadow. The color of the shield is silver and within are six red crosses and a red bar as a symbol of clear character, of love for the fatherland, of perseverance and of willingness to sacrifice.

Arms Ornament

     A dark blue, green and gold ornament that is harmoniously attached to the helmet and shield.

Helmet

     An angular, frontal helmet in grey with a closed visor, a black visor design, a black symbol, and a red sleeve ornament.

Main Ornament

     Over a red and silver banner is a black and red lion, golden symbol, a red cross stands for courage.

Motto

 Sub Cruce Salus - Salvation under the cross.
